Community Guidelines

We are dedicated to connecting individuals ready to work with those who need work done. As FixaTrader continues to grow, it is essential for our community to adhere to guidelines that reflect our values and standards of behaviour. We strive to enforce these guidelines to maintain our authenticity and transparency, ensuring that everyone has a positive experience.

FixaTrader aims to create a reliable, safe, and successful environment and is here to help resolve any issues that may arise. In return, we ask for your cooperation and prompt responses when engaging with the FixaTrader team. If you suspect a member has violated any Community Guidelines, please report it to us as soon as possible.

This document will evolve as we grow and consider what is best for the FixaTrader community.

We enjoy connecting individuals who need work done with eager members of the local community (like you!). Our community is expanding every day, and it is important to us that all members have a safe and enjoyable experience on FixaTrader. This is why we have established these Community Guidelines, which outline the values and standards of behaviour we expect everyone to follow.

We are committed to making this marketplace reliable, safe, and beneficial for you, and we are here to help resolve any issues that may arise. However, we can't do it alone. To assist us in serving you better, we kindly ask for your cooperation and timely responses when engaging with our FixaTrader Support team.

If you see something that violates these guidelines, please reach out to the FixaTrader Support team and report it to us. Click the ‘Report as Inappropriate' button located within the task or comments section or go to Contact Us.

These Community Guidelines are here to protect you, and we take breaches of them seriously. When a person breaches our Community Guidelines, we may take action to remove any content, suspend offers, or even permanently cancel the offending account.

1. Publicly Sharing Private Information

To safeguard your safety and security, only share private contact information after the other party has accepted your offer. This can be facilitated through our private messaging system.

Do not share private contact details or third-party links in any public areas of the site, including comments and attachments. Examples of private contact information include, but are not limited to, business websites, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, personal emails, phone numbers, addresses, or personal websites.

2. Unacceptable Behaviours

At FixaTrader, we value our community. Your participation is essential to our success. Therefore, courtesy, mutual respect, and openness to different perspectives are crucial. We do not tolerate the following negative behaviours toward other members of the FixaTrader community or our staff:

Hatred or Violence

Comments or actions that promote hatred or violence against specific groups or individuals, including representatives of FixaTrader, are strictly prohibited. Any racist content or behaviour intended to incite racism is also forbidden. All aggressive behaviour, including swearing, verbal threats, threatening language or actions, and any forms of violence will not be tolerated.

Illegal Behaviours

FixaTrader maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal behaviours, including theft, vandalism, and unlawful activities such as the use of drugs or weapons.

Trolling

Comments and actions deemed to be trolling or inappropriate are prohibited. This includes off-topic or inflammatory comments intended to provoke other community members.

3. Unsupported Practices

We are committed to fostering a fair, transparent, and trustworthy environment, and we will take action against any activities that undermine this goal.

The following activities are restricted:

  1. Fraudulent FixaTrader reviews
  2. Artificially enhancing public profiles
  3. Using the platform for unrelated discussions
  4. Harvesting member information
  5. Lead generation activities

Leaking Tasks Off Platform

Taking tasks off the FixaTrader platform—whether during the offer stage or after assignment—is not permitted. Every Fixers deserves a fair chance to submit an offer, and removing tasks from the platform prevents other Fixers from competing, creating an unfair environment.

While it may seem that taking tasks off the platform saves you money on Fixers Service Fees, it can end up costing you more over time. If certain users avoid contributing to the shared costs of maintaining the marketplace, overall expenses will need to increase.

Furthermore, frequently cancelling tasks may negatively affect your star rating and profile review, which can hinder your ability to secure future work and could lead to account suspension or a ban.

4. Pricing, fees and payments

We recognize that everyone desires a safe and rewarding environment, which is why it's essential to clarify how pricing and payments work on FixaTrader.

  1. Offer prices: When making an offer, it must reflect the total amount for the task. Offers cannot be based on hourly rates, units, or quotes. Additionally, partial quotes that suggest negotiating prices off the platform are not allowed.
  2. FixaTrader Payment Account: For your safety, cash payments are not accepted on FixaTrader. Instead, the FixaTrader Payment Account securely holds the funds for the task until you mark it as complete, ensuring that you receive full payment.
  3. Accurate banking details: To facilitate seamless payment, please keep your banking details updated in your Payment Settings. Occasionally, to comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations, our payment provider, Stripe, may flag user accounts for additional verification. You can learn more about Stripe's KYC process here.
  4. Cancellation Fee: As stated in our terms and conditions, if you cancel a task after a customer has assigned it to you and are found responsible for that cancellation, a cancellation fee will be charged. This fee will be deducted from your next payment(s).

5. Accountability and your reputation

If you hire someone to complete a task, you naturally expect them to honour the arrangement and perform the job correctly. Right? Absolutely! That’s why we have established policies that set clear guidelines to ensure customers can trust the job will be done well, while also fostering a positive experience for Fixers like you. These policies include:

  • Fulfilment of task requirements: Fixers are required to perform the services agreed upon with the Customer.
  • Managing other Fixers involved
    1. If you are assigned to the task, you are responsible for the actions of any Fixers you arrange to assist you in completing the customer task.
    2. You must obtain customer consent before subcontracting any services. Additionally, make sure that any subcontractor you engage has a FixaTrader user account. Please be aware that subcontractors are not covered by FixaTrader's Third Party Liability insurance.
    3. For tasks that must be completed in person, your attendance is required to ensure that all task requirements are met, even if you have solicited help from other Fixers.
